Meet Your Blue Mountains Local Tour Guide
Sharing the rich history, stories, experiences
and breathtaking natural beauty of the Blue Mountains
About Mountains Tales
Hello, I’m Sue Collins – the storyteller, researcher, and passionate Blue Mountains local behind Mountains Tales – a true local Blue Mountains tour company. I have a deep love for the Blue Mountains, and I’m excited to share its stories with both locals and visitors.
After leaving Sydney’s corporate life and moving to the Blue Mountains for a “tree change” in 2014, I was able to embrace the work I’m passionate about. My love for Australia inspired me to develop Mountains Tales, offering Blue Mountains Coach Commentary tours, Village Walking Tours and Speaker Engagements.
As an expert guide, based in Leura, the Blue Mountains Story is blended with my own story. My personal values of service and community reflect as the coordinator for Leura ANZAC Day, service as a SES volunteer and an active member of many local associations.
I have been honoured with State awards, including NSW Volunteer of the Year nominee, and twice awarded the NSW Premier’s Emergency Citation, I’m also the unofficial Town Cryer / MC for events across Leura village; the Blue Mountains village I am proud to call home.
Drawing on my qualifications as a certified adult educator, I help guests on a Mountains Tales tour develop a meaningful understanding of the Blue Mountains’ history, story and natural beauty.
