Definitely recommend.Posted on Angela BalogTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had the pleasure of "Taking the Air" with Mountains Tales. As a local I didn't think I would learn much but it was so informative and I realised I really didn't know much about Mt Vic or its history. Sue brought the characters and stories to life. I had the opportunity to travel first class into the past and thoroughly enjoyed the experience!Posted on Robert BalogTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I did the Mt Vic tour with Mountains Tales last Saturday. Sue is a fabulous and knowledgeable storyteller. I learnt heaps. It was a fun and gentle walk through our history.Posted on Lesley HulbertTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We so enjoyed this short but exciting walking tour of Mt Victoria we did today. Sue was knowledgeable, considerate, and entertaining and two hours passed in a flash in this gorgeous little town. Thanks Sue.Posted on Amy FallonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I've now done the Katoomba and Leura tours and hope to do the Mount Victoria one at some stage, also! Would highly recommend them both, rain or shine, no matter the season. There's so many things in both areas that you wouldn't have noticed or have walked straight past, and Sue makes them so interesting with her visuals!Posted on A McKinnonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Brilliant, just brilliant. Sue’s warmth and easy laugh gathers listeners to a spellbound circle of storytelling. Her real gift is in the search for detail - driven by a passion for truth. As a local I have done the same tour of Leura twice a few years apart and hung on every word each time. Whether visitor or resident, treat yourself to each of these tours. The fun of knowing the background tales to streets & buildings & names lasts!Posted on mac12301Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. There's nothing nicer than a sunny Leura morning, and a tour with Sue from Mountains Tales. Sue knows so much about Blue Mountains History that you will learn something new whether you are up visiting for the weekend, or a local. Sue is very welcoming and friendly and gives you plenty of opportunities to say "I know the answer to that!" 😂😆which is always nice! Thank you Sue for a lovely tour. Now I just need to take the Katoomba tour for the trifecta.Posted on Lyn DennisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Facebook. We booked Sue’s walking tours of Leura and Katoomba on the same day (morning and afternoon). My friend from California is interested in nature and history, so Sue’s walks were a perfect choice. We were not disappointed. Sue has a deep knowledge and enthusiasm for the Blue Mountains and, as a resident of the mountains for 50 years, I learned so much from Sue’s tour. I have family history in the Blue Mountains; My great-uncle, George James, was Katoomba’s Mayor on several occasions in the early 1900’s and my grandfather, was Assistant Stationmaster of Katoomba Station. Sue was able to show me the home that George James built, named Froma, of which I was unaware and I was able to show her where my Grandparents and Mum lived, opposite The Carrington. What a day we had. Thank you so much Sue for THE most interesting, educational and informative day. What a vast knowledge and research, photos, explanations and genuine enthusiasm you have and are willing to share. Our day exceeded all expectations and my Californian friend and I left with more questions to research. Mount Irvine, Mount Wilson and Yosemite. These names must share a common link between the Blue Mountains and California. We will find out by our own research and discovery. Thank you Sue for a memorable day.Posted on Mickey HeitTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Facebook. Thanks Sue for a very informative tour of Mount Victoria this morning. Look forward to doing another one with you.Posted on Doug PattisonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Facebook. She is a knowledgeable and affable guide.Posted on Marie MooneyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Facebook. Thanks Sue for another wonderfully informative walking tour of a beautiful mountains village, this time, Katoomba. Love your incredible knowledge, woven into story telling and humour. We look forward to learning about the next village with you.Posted on Clara PatchingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Facebook. Sue was a fantastic, informative and entertaining tour guide. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour of Leura and are keen to do some of Sue's other village tours. She is clearly a passionate historian and her knowledge of local history is amazing. Highly recommend!Posted on Tina MulhollandTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Facebook. What a great afternoon we had on the Mountains Tales Katoomba Story Tour! Sue is an brilliant presenter, passionate about the history she generously unfurls along the way and a captivating storyteller. I love Katoomba and thought I knew it's story but now I understand so much more - some intriguing details and why, for example, we have so many Art Deco buildings still standing. It's had me thinking about it ever since. I highly recommend the tour for locals and visitors, it was thoroughly entertaining and illuminating. Thanks, Sue! See you soon on the Leura Tour!
